The ECO Scheme Grants initiative was introduced by the Government in 2013 to help combat fuel poverty and to reduce carbon emissions from homes.
Old, broken central heating boilers and broken electric storage heaters are replaced under the scheme with new, modern and more energy efficient versions. This reduces carbon emissions from homes whilst helping to reduce heating bills because modern heating systems use less energy.
The cost of heating your home accounts for more than 60% of the average household energy bill so installing a more energy efficient boiler can make a real difference. Replacing a G-rated boiler with an A-rated boiler could save over £200 per year for the average householder in a semi-detached property.
ECO Scheme Grants are provided to replace mains gas boilers & electric storage heaters, and to install cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.
If you have a broken boiler or broken electric storage heaters, apply for an ECO Grant to help you install a new heating system and keep your home warm.
